FAQ: FAQ

Why do I have to wait 8 weeks for my puppy?

While we understand you may be beyond excited to bring your newest pet home, we cannot release them to you up until they are 8 weeks old. The reason for this being because they nurse up until about 4-5 weeks, then need about 3 weeks in order to wean them off nursing and onto puppy chow. We also provide their first set of shots, which cannot be provided until they are at least 8 weeks old.

Will my puppy already have his/her shots?

Yes. When the puppies turn 8 weeks old they are then old enough to have their first check up. During this appointment they will be provided with their first set of shots. They will also be given to you with a certificate of the shots given at said appointment.

How often does AESS breed?

Typically AESS will breed once in the Spring and once in the Fall. The reason we choose to breed this often is to coordinate with her heat cycles which occur twice a year, as well as the health benefits. To read about the health benefits of breeding twice a year, please visit this link.

What if I realize I can longer keep and/or take care of my puppy?

We understand that taking home a new puppy is a big responsibility, and sometimes a bit too much. If that is the case for you, please do not hesitate to reach out to us and we will make arrangements for a return, and we will happily help find the puppy a new home. Please read carefully over our puppy sales contract for the specific DO's and DON'Ts regarding giving up a puppy.
